Classes and Training Programs
Puppy classes
By enrolling in our Puppy Program, you will have needed help and
support during the first few weeks of pet ownership, an important
learning time for both you and your pet. Jim will provide answers to
questions on everything from lead breaking to crate training. You'll
also learn how to deal with puppy behaviors before they become a
problem and how to gently introduce basic obedience exercises. The fee
for our Puppy Program is $75.00 and includes phone consultations and
classes. Call Jim at 1(888) for details.
Basic obedience classes
Jim offers private basic obedience classes at our facility in Berea. Each class will cover one or more basic obedience commands. You will be given hands on instruction in how to execute the commands and then you will go home and practice with your dog. How many classes you will need depends upon how much time you spend at home on a daily basis practicing the basic obedience commands with your dog. You may also call Jim at any time during the training period to receive needed support and guidance by phone. The fee for this service is $45.00 per hour.
In-kennel training
If you choose this option, your dog should be at least sixteen weeks old. He/she will come and stay with us for a three week intensive training period. By working with your dog several times a day, Jim is able to maximize your pet's potential in the shortest amount of time. During these daily sessions, your dog will receive training, play time and exercise. Because Jim accepts only a small number of dogs for training at any one time, each dog receives the amount of personal care and attention necessary for a successful training experience.
After the initial training period, you and other family members will return for four follow-up classes. A critical part of your dog's training, these sessions are designed to teach you how to handle your dog and to ensure that you understand and can properly execute all of the commands. Jim will continue to work with you until you have established a successful working relationship with your pet. The fee for this service, including training and follow-up classes, is $575.
